Dr. Paul Mitchell joined Avow Hospice in 2004, became Medical Director, and in 2005 was appointed Vice President of Physician Relations. He also serves as a member of the Avow Hospice Executive Committee.
Prior joining Avow Hospice, Dr. Mitchell was Associate Chief of Staff and Director of Internal Medicine for Cleveland Clinic Naples, served for 20 years on the clinical faculty of Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and directed a private medical group practice specializing in internal medicine and gastroenterology. He also served as a Captain in the United States Army Medical Service Corps.
Dr. Mitchell holds a bachelor of science degree in chemistry and a doctor of medicine degree from Wayne State University. He graduated with honors and was elected to membership in Alpha Phi Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Mitchell is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with Advanced Achievement.
