Christine D’Angelo joined Avow Hospice in December of 2000 and in 2002 assumed primary responsibility for the planning and opening of the agency’s inpatient facility. She was instrumental in facilitating Avow's initial accreditation and re-accreditation through the Joint Commission. As Chief Operating Officer, she manages the operational responsibilities of the agency’s clinical division.
Christine has an extensive background in health care management and the development of business strategies, including holding positions as Director of Nursing, Neurology-Neurosurgery for University Hospital of Newark, New Jersey and Director of Acute Care Services for Montgomery General Hospital in Maryland. She also served for ten years as a member of Montgomery General Hospital ’s Board of Directors.
Christine holds a master of science degree in nursing from Boston University and a bachelor of science from The Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C.
