John Leach has served on the Avow Hospice Board of Directors for seven years. He is a former chairman and vice chairman. Currently Mr. Leach serves as the Committee Chair for the Nominating Committee and is a member of the Executive and Finance Committees.
Mr. Leach was CEO and Board Chairman of Western Auto Supply Co. from 1992 – 1997. Prior to that role, Mr. Leach was President of Tire America & NTW Tire Store Group and has held numerous management and merchandising positions at Sears Roebuck and Western Auto Supply Company. Mr. Leach was a Captain in the United States Army from 1966 – 1977.
Mr. Leach’s community involvement includes serving currently on the Transition Board of Directors at Grey Oaks Country Club. He also served on the board for Grey Oaks Home Owners Association – Estate Association. He was also involved with Trinity Lutheran Hospital of Kansas City Foundation, United Way of Greater Kansas City and the D’Toqueville Society of Kansas City.
