On November 16, 2009, Ken Ross, son of hospice pioneer Elizabeth Kubler-Ross visited Avow Hospice to share insights about his mother's life and work. Avow staff members, donors, volunteers and members of the community gathered in Avow's Frances Georgeson Hospice House family room where Mr. Ross shared photos, videos and personal anacdotes from his mother's life experience and examples of her influence on the hospice concept around the world. At the conclusion of the luncheon, Mr. Ross signed copies of "Tea With Elisabeth," a recently published book celebrating the life of Dr. Kubler-Ross.
Special thank you to Fuller Funeral Homes for donating copies of "Tea With Elisabeth" for distribution at the Ken Ross luncheon.
For more information about the book and the work of Elisabeth Kubler-Ross visit the EKR Foundation web site.
